The Snow Globe
This is an illustration to point to the fact that our minds are always clear under the thoughts.
Explanation –
Imagine taking a snow globe and giving it a big shake.
With all the snow whirling about how easy is it to see the object in the middle?
How much clarity do you have?
If you put it down, what happens?
The snow settles and your view of the object in the middle clears.
If, however, you keep shaking it what happens?
You don't get clarity of the object and you just see snow!

Our minds are just like the snow globe. They get caught up in the noise of the day, the to-do list, the shoulds etc. and we lose sight of what's important and our common sense and wisdom.
When we leave our minds alone they settle naturally
Technical note – the shaking happens because we think our thinking is important and that the outside world can affect our internal wellbeing. The email/to do list etc isn’t the snow, our thoughts about it are. And events or people don’t shake our snow globe, we do, innocently.
Similar analogies – muddy pond, blue sky and clouds etc.
