Impact.

While working at Naturally High Performance, I have been gathering data for an Impact Report and wanted to share some highlights with you.

I have collected data from our clients with the intent of understanding the impact of Naturally High Performance coaching and to identify any areas of development. I asked our clients questions about the impact of working with NHP in their professional and personal lives then asked them to rate themselves on a scale titled ‘Observations about yourself’. Overall, this was a very successful experience with some wonderful responses and thought-provoking insights.

There were three themes that stood out as relevant to everybody.

Stress

Stress was an overarching theme and everyone experienced a reduction in it. Once clients realised that stress is a product of thought and not their circumstances it didn’t make sense to them to follow that stressful thinking anymore. It was clear that the reduction in stress even in the presence of pressure led to an overall increase in wellbeing and creativity and respondents noticed a more balanced and enjoyable home life.

Connection with Others

Relationships with colleagues can have a big impact on our experience of work and once clients realised how the mind works it opened the possibility of understanding that everyone else’s minds work in the same way. Understanding separate realities was a frequent area of impact. People reported being able to communicate better with colleagues and that they now deal with difficult conversations more effectively. Respondents also noted better listening as they understand the difference between listening and hearing, this has led to a reduction in misunderstandings during conversations.

Resilience

Resilience is a very topical concept in modern organisations and those who have worked with us have found themselves becoming more and more resilient. Clients reported being less reactive in difficult situations and therefore more likely to return to the natural flow of insights quickly. Understanding that reactions come from thoughts allows for a different experience inside without having to wait for something to change on the outside.

People also detailed a shift in their attitudes to things that are not within their control, reporting that they no longer dwelled on the past (or future). As clients understood their innate ability to navigate anything that comes their way, they trusted that insights are always possible and resilience increased.

Here is fantastic quote from a respondent that sums up the whole impact report in just a few sentences:

“I will now take on new tasks and challenges and not think I am not capable of it. NHP sessions have enabled me to see how much potential I have. I also now see life as being easier whereas in the past I thought it was difficult. Everyday is meant to be enjoyed not filled with worry or stress.” – Client Survey (August 2021)

It is clear from this short summary that the impact of understanding how our mind works is vast and varied. If you would like to read the full report then you can download a PDF version here.
